american gods

what do you hope for? who do you worship? what do you notice? what makes life worth it? do you define yourself by your words, actions, or by what you purchase? do you read spiritual texts or have spiritless sex, do you assess women by their minds or the size of their breasts? men by their chests or by their intellects? what do you value? what makes you feel alive? reality television or the words of the wise? who do you emulate, who inspires you? are half naked figures on billboards who you aspire to be? soulless images polluting our visual landscapes, anthropomorphized anonymous manikins advertising commodities, filling our minds with desires.

there are many forces in this world, i seek those that are higher.
